Manning Construction have acquired further land adjacent to the new housing development at Gilfach Goch, which means the gardens to the rear at Plots 4 & 5 are now almost twice the size of the original plots.
Please take a look at our revised plan to show the additional land.

As Managing Director I’m proud to announce that Manning Construction is celebrating their 50th year of trading on 1st June.
I have been privileged to be part of this , (not all the 50 years I might add).
For those of you that don’t know us , we are a family run Civil Engineering & Building Contractor based in Bridgend, South Wales.
Below are a few pictures from our archives.
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all employees past and present , suppliers , subcontractors and clients for their continued support over the last 50 years and look forward to their support in the future.
To name our new Housing Development at Gilfach Goch, we’ve approached two schools in the area to allow the pupils to enter the competition to name the development.
Abercerdin Primary School and Hendreforgan Community Primary School have entered the competition where over a hundred pupils have entered. There will be a prize for the winning School and for the winning Pupil.
Manning Construction will whittle down the entries to three, then these will be passed to the council to make the final decision.

Adam Williams has joined us this week as a trainee Site Manager. Adam will be trained through our extensive training programme over the next 12-18 months where he will work in different aspects of the company.
Adam has a background through college in Civil Engineering, but has also spent time in the Army. On leaving the Army, he decided to head back in to Construction, where Mannings are pleased to assist him through his training and further his experiences.
As a challenge, Manning Construction decided to join in the Children in Need Rickshaw challenge, to cycle (within the reception area) to BBC Broadcasting House in London, a total of 126miles.
We drafted in all personnel who felt they could do 1 mile or 20 miles, and all did their part in achieving this total. When nearing the 126 miles, early on the Friday morning, it was decided to cycle back also!
A total of 423 miles were cycled and a FANTASTIC total of £820.05 was raised for Children in Need
