Working for Awen Cultural Trust and along side Momentum Cardiff , we are looking forward to transforming these rooms into the 4-star boutique hotel style that they envisige

After four full days of Head Office & construction site audits, we passed our ISO9001:2015 re-certification & ISO14001:2015 surveillance in our first ever combined audit.
With 2019 objectives met such as:
– introducing vehicle trackers to improve fuel usage
– reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill
– handing over targeted process audits to our staff
Manning Construction is spending less money whilst reducing environmental impact & improving internal risk controls!
Our objective of 2020, the Managing Director, Stephen Euston is handing over the role of Environmental Champion to Procurement Officer, Leanne Fullick!
So, well done to all our staff – especially the Site Managers and Site Operatives, but also PCR Global’s Andrew Protheroe and Ian John for assisting us on site and in the office! With your continued support, it almost makes it easy!!!

All five houses in the Gilfach Goch development have now SOLD!!
We’ll be posting pictures up of the completed development as it happens, and we should be having some of the new Buyers move in within the next few weeks.

A few months ago, we approached two schools in the area to allow the pupils to enter our competition to Name the Housing Development, in a chance to win either £500 for the school or the equivelent in man-hours, and the winning pupil wins a £50 Amazon Gift card.
We had to send 3 of best entries to the Council and they would decide the Name of the Development.
The Winning School is Abercerdin Primary School, and the winning Pupil is Kyla Pearce with Yr Hen Ffordd Geffylau (Old Horse Way)
The reason behind her choice of name is “Because ‘Old Horse Way’ was the name of the escape tunnel that the miners used after the pit explosion in 1907”.
**BREAKING NEWS**
Manning Construction have acquired further land adjacent to the new housing development at Gilfach Goch, which means the gardens to the rear at Plots 4 & 5 are now almost twice the size of the original plots.
Please take a look at our revised plan to show the additional land.

As Managing Director I’m proud to announce that Manning Construction is celebrating their 50th year of trading on 1st June.
I have been privileged to be part of this , (not all the 50 years I might add).
For those of you that don’t know us , we are a family run Civil Engineering & Building Contractor based in Bridgend, South Wales.

To name our new Housing Development at Gilfach Goch, we’ve approached two schools in the area to allow the pupils to enter the competition to name the development.
Abercerdin Primary School and Hendreforgan Community Primary School have entered the competition where over a hundred pupils have entered. There will be a prize for the winning School and for the winning Pupil.
Manning Construction will whittle down the entries to three, then these will be passed to the council to make the final decision.
Our newest housing development has started in Gilfach Goch this week. We are building a selection of 3 and 4 bedrooms homes on the High Street, adjacent to the Medical Centre.
